Tacchini Flock: A sustainable wool collection

During Milano Design Week 2023, Tacchini teamed up once again with Formafantasma in the pursuit of greater sustainability. At Capsule Plaza, the brand unveiled Tacchini FLOCK, a project installation conceived and curated by Formafantasma. Reworking upholstered seating from the inside, Formafantasma introduces a more sustainable, nature-based process for the manufacture of iconic Tacchini designs, using surplus sheep’s wool to replace industrial foam. In combination with natural latex, the non-polluting sheep’s wool provides softness and stuffing with a natural material that has paradoxically been treated as a waste product. But there’s so much more to the sustainable story between man and nature. We encourage you to enjoy this 15 minute educational adventure by clicking below.

  • GlamPure: Organic wallcovering, Japandi style

Glamora introduced this ultra-natural special edition wallcovering, GlamPure, with the Komorebi Collection. Inspired by the dappled light between trees, and soft, natural colors, this unique plant-fibre textile is the ultimate solution. Made of European linen with considerable aesthetic and practical value, it presents a high level of sustainability: it is compostable and eco-compatible in every way. Its technical qualities make it ideal for use in biophilic residential and hospitality settings. It is durable, moisture absorbing and hypoallergenic. The fibrous surface, with its low rate of thermal and acoustic conductivity, speaks to its insulating and thermo-regulatory properties. Wallcovering with purpose as well as esoteric value: bringing joy and feeling of wellbeing.

  • Bulo / BOSQ harvest waste wood to veneer

Bulo and BOSQ have been manufacturing partners of fine veneer furniture, casegoods and panelized goods since the 1960’s. From the beginning, BOSQ has sought, harvested and transported logs from European waterways, urban building sites and even the famous piers in the Venice canals to their manufacturing facilities in Mechelen, Belgium. Expertise has guided the examination, production and stunning applications for what is widely considered waste wood. They also source responsibly grown and harvested wood species from nearby forests in Belgium and around Europe. Offering raw veneers in stock, partially finished or completely finished panels and contract furniture and millwork elements. No project too small or large. Traceable origin.
